When you donate to Service Leads to Purpose, you directly support children and single mothers living in vulnerable communities in Medellín, Colombia. Your contribution funds after-school education programs, English classes, monthly food support, school supplies, and access to essential healthcare services. We focus on long-term solutions that help families break cycles of poverty through education and consistent community support.
Every donation, whether one-time or monthly is invested in programs that provide measurable impact and sustainable opportunity for Colombia’s youth. We bring humanitarian aid to the most vulnerable communities of Colombia. We are currently providing clean water and food for a school in La Guajira, and we have helped children and single mothers find their purpose with our ongoing humanitarian brigades.
Our English and STEM - Math classes aim to give children from vulnerable backgrounds the tools they need to access better opportunities once they graduate. Public schools in Colombia might not provide the best quality of education, therefore we developed an after-school program to help children grow in knowledge in these two areas to excel later in life and also at their school.
If the basic needs of our children are not met, then it'll be impossible for them to focus on their education, if we don't provide a space for them to thrive with dignity, we fail to develop a program that is sustainable on the long-term. Nutrition, healthcare and humanitarian aid are pivotal for the development of children's talents, gifts and the pursuit of their individual goals. We are delivering ongoing food bags, educational supplies and case-by-case healthcare support. Our goal is to provide programs that restore human dignity and bring peace and joy back into their lives.
We believe that purpose can be found through service, through serving other people with our individual talents and gifts, by doing so we are living fufilling lives while also being agents of change in society. By developing our children's inner talents and gifts we are giving them the tools they need to accomplish extraordinary things in life, and helping them become who they were meant to be.
Well, first of all, I thank God for giving my child a new opportunity to be with me after going through so much. I am so grateful to God for placing Marianita, María José, Juanita, Dianita, Dr. Andrés, and so many others in my path to change our lives. I knocked on so many doors, and honestly, so many people closed them on me. Thanks to this wonderful foundation, we have been helped so much, and I am so grateful for everything they have done for us, especially for my child, who had lost all hope of ever walking again. I would like to tell you a little about the wonderful experience of getting to know the Service Leads to Purpose Foundation because they are people with such big hearts who give so much love. My children have had so many wonderful experiences since they met the foundation, moments full of love, understanding, respect, and affection. I truly never thought I would find such wonderful people.
This was an in incredible experience that truly touched my heart, and I will be volunteering frequently with this organization. Thank you so much for the phenomenal opportunity and I will definitely be sharing with all of my friends that they should be going to help here, it was amazing and the staff is incredible. It is such a great group of volunteers and I felt like those we were helping were very receptive to that help and appreciative. I felt like I made a big difference in just a few hours on my first time volunteering with them.
I recently joined Service Leads to Purpose as a volunteer and had my first brigade yesterday in Manrique, Medellín. We gave English lessons to local people of all ages who wanted to learn, and it was truly amazing. This foundation does incredible work, the whole team was so kind, welcoming, and supportive. They made me feel comfortable and included right from the start. Everyone was eager and motivated to learn, and it was beautiful to see how the community comes together thanks to this organisation.
